It’s the end of August and we’re holding onto every last ounce of summer. The beach is still calling, as are the ice cream truck trips and backyard dinner parties. Our most popular recipes of the month showed just that—essentially making a menu of host-worthy meals.

Take, for example, this Sheet-Pan Chicken Souvlaki—an impressive one-pan meal for nights when you want to have people over but can’t be bothered with a lot of cleanup. Or make these Spicy Cashew Scallion Noodles, a budget-friendly, sneakily-vegetarian dish that makes use of pantry staples. Another fuss-free noodle dish? This spaghetti that leans on jarred marinated artichokes and pancetta to deliver briny, salty flavor.
